The tabernacle of Moses and the temples built
by Solomon and Herod were only symbolic of the true tabernacle\temple
that God builds. These "earthly" buildings that men built are only
"copies or shadows" of the "heavenly" tabernacle\temple that God builds.
This heavenly tabernacle\temple that God builds is in fact the people of
God here on earth, and those already in heaven as the scripture
abundantly testifies too.

being the chief corner stone; 21. In whom all
the building fitly framed together grows into a holy temple in the Lord:

habitation of God through the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:16.

are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up
spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6. Wherefore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief
corner stone, (of a building) elect, precious: and he
that believes on him shall not be confounded. 7. To you therefore which
believe he is precious: but to them which be disobedient, the stone
which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
