Revelation 21:14. And the
wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the
twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Ephesians 2;18.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19.
Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow
citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20. And are built upon the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner
stone; 21. In whom all the building fitly framed together grows
unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22. In whom you also are built together
for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
1 Corinthians
3;9. For we are laborers together with God: you are God's garden, you
are God's building. 10. According to the grace of God which is given to
me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the
foundation, and another builds on it. But let every man take heed
how he builds on it. 11. For a different
foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12. Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13. Every man's work
shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall
be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what
sort it is. 14. If any man's work abide which he has built upon it, he
shall receive a reward. 15. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall
suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16. Don't
you know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwells in you? 17. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God
destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
Luke 6:46
(Jesus speaking) And why call me, Lord, Lord, and do not
the things which I say? 47. Who ever comes to me, and hears my sayings,
and does them, I will show you to whom he is like: 48. He is like a man
which built a house, and dug deep, and laid
the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream
beat violently upon that house, and could not shake it:
for it was founded upon a rock. 49.
But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that
without a foundation built an house
upon the earth; against which the stream did beat violently, and
immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore
thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested
stone, A costly cornerstone for the
foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be
disturbed. 17 “I will make justice the measuring line And righteousness
the level; Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies And the waters
will overflow the secret place. NAS
Isaiah 51:16 And I have put
my words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of my hand,
that I may plant the heavens, and lay the
foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, You are my people.
49:8 Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in
a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give
you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to
inherit the desolate heritages
Hebrews 1. Therefore
leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto
perfection; not laying again the foundation
of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2. Of the
doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of
the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3. And this will we do, if God
permit.
Hebrews 11:8 By faith
Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after
receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where
he went. 9 By faith he lived in the land of promise, as in a strange
country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with
him of the same promise: 10 For he looked for
a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God
.........39 And these all,(Abraham, Isaac, Jacob)
having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us
should not be made perfect......12:18 For you are not come to the mount
that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor to blackness, and
darkness, and tempest, 19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of
words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be
spoken to them any more: 20 (For they could not endure that which was
commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be
stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21 And so terrible was the sight,
that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22 But you are come to mount Zion, and to the
city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an
innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of
the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all,
and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the
mediator of the new covenant,....
