waiting for the revelation of the lord

Bible Prophecy

Here are the other verses that use this word in the New Testament. To say the least. It is a bit of a stretch to translate this word or use it is such a way to speak of the end of the world scenario's expressed by people's traditions. Not that it could not be used that way. The revelation of the Lord is the revelation of the Lord. He can, has been and is revealed in many ways. The fulfillment of prophecy is one of those ways. The question is. Just what exactly is being prophesied?

2nd Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Galatians 2:2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

1st Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

1st Peter 4:13 But as you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, so that also in the revelation of His glory you may rejoice, exulting. BLB

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John:

Note: Where the word "the," (definite article) is also in bold. That means it is not in the original Greek and has been added by the translators to "help" the reader make sense of the sentence.
