GODS CHILDREN OVERCOMING THE WORLD

    Bible Symbolism

These scriptures do not imply that all things by all Christians at all times can be overcome. Since this article concerns prophecies about the New Jerusalem in the age that followed the age of the the Gentiles.  An excellent example of this is would be how Gods saints had long ago overcome the idolatry of the nations wherever the Gospel had been preached. It however did not overcome despotic human government which according to Bible prophecy would not start to occur until the Roman empire fell. There was a very specific and natural reason why. You can see that in this article.

1 John 1:10. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

1 John 5 4. For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

Zechariah 12 8. In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.

Luke 10 19. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Luke 24 49. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but you wait in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high.

Acts 6 8. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

Romans 1 16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes;

1 Corinthians 2 4. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power:

 5. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 4 19. But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. 20. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.....26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end. 27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
