THE POWERS OF THE HEAVENS

Some examples of the powers of the heavens. Or the unseen world behind them.

Ephesians 5;10. Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the trickery of the devil. 12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

Luke 10:17. And the seventy (disciples) returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subjugated to us through your name. 18. He said to them, I saw Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19. Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Ephesians 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: ........18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints is, 19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Ephesians 2:6. And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 3:10. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the multifarious wisdom of God, 11. According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

Daniel 10:5. Then I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, with a belt fine gold of Uphaz: 6. His body also was like the Beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. 7. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but they began to tremble and shake, so that they fled to hide themselves. 8. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for I turned deathly pale , and was became helpless. 9. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. 10. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11. And he said to me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright: for to you am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling. 12. Then said he to me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and deny yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I am come for your words. 13. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. 14. Now I am come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days: for the vision is for many days ahead. 15. And when he had spoken such words to me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb. 16. And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke, and said to him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength. 17. For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. 18. Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, 19. And said, O man greatly loved, fear not: peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for you hast strengthened me. 20. Then said he, do you know why I come to you? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come. 21. But I will show you that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

Daniel 12:1. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
